Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012:DateEffective Framework Part 2:Create DateEffective Form

Hi.Guys

The is the 2nd part in which i will be covering the creation of DateEffective form based on DateEffective/ValidTimeState table.

part 1 is here

Now here is the creation of form

SimpleListTemplate

I am creating a SimpleListDetails form from the Template, giving the name AsimDateEffectiveForm

DataSrc

Added DateSource table,Now adding field to grid and header

GridDatasrc

GridFields

Header.Datasrc

Save the form and compile it to make sure there would be no errors,The form would be something like this

DateEffectiveForm.pg

Notice that the steps of creation of the form is similar ,to creating a normal form from a data source ,now the real is

FormDataSrcPropert

Form Data Source properties

ValidTimeStateAutoQuery:

  • This property allows to access records of a specific time .It contains  2 options. Also it is applicable for data source which is mater no join data source would you this

AsOfDate = To bring the record effective of current date

Example:

Let enter some record in the form.

RecordsINform

Now close the form and re-open it.

CurrentReocrd

So because of ‘AsOfDate’ it is brining only effective record. Also when you press Ctrl F3 for SysQuery you will

SysQueryForAsoFdate

Now,                  Date Range =  To bring the record in a specific date range

Example:

Set property to DateRange and re-open the form

SetDateRange

DateRangeRecord

So because of ‘Date Range’ it is bringing the whole records, also for SysQuery you will see

SysQueryForDateRange

So that it for Today, please let me know for any queries
